Growing up in a rural Southeast Kansas town is a blessing in many ways. Unfortunately, it can also be limiting. In order for our students to compete and excel in the current and future workforce, it is our job as teachers to make sure they are prepared.
My Project
My students learn best by hands-on, STEM activities. Our Makerspace area provides space to create engaging projects. The EiE Bubble Bonanza kit and unit will provide materials for students to explore and investigate while allowing the teacher the freedom to assist instead of scrounging for materials.
The kids will explore how bubbles behave and investigate the properties of different materials as they engineer all kinds of bubble wands.
The unit wraps up with a Bubble Bonanza Showcase where kids demonstrate their creations.
Creating, reflecting, and presenting are all areas when students are thinking at a higher level. Having fun during the process is the added perk!
