Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
We have about 360 students who are all bilingual. We are the only bilingual school in out district and one of the few in our state!
Our students love to focus on academics during the school day, but we know they need creative and fun outlets during the times that they need indoor recess as well.
We are hoping to provide them with indoor recess carts that will give then fun, educational, and creative opportunities! All the activities and games in the carts will provide fun opportunities for our students to learn, play, and grow!
My Project
Indoor recess is unavoidable at times because of weather, but these resources will help to make this time valuable for our students!
Games, cards, legos, and blocks will allow out students to work collaboratively, be creative, and challenge their thinking without them even realizing it; it's like learning in disguise!
We hope that our students will learn how to work together and how to play fairly with these resources. The kids will love to play with all these new resources and explore together.
