My students need coats. The temperatures here are freezing. The students are catching the bus at 6:30 am in the morning in these very cold conditions. I feel it is essential for them to stay warm.
Our school is in a high poverty school district. The school is a title 1 school as well. Our school is comprised of approximately 275 students, including preschool. We have an archery team which lets 24 students participate in this sport of choice. The archery team helps these students strive to keep up their academics and work on team work to get a good overall score. The students on the archery team range from grade 3 to grade 5, both boys and girls are included.
My Project
The temperatures here are freezing. The students who come to school are catching the bus at 6:30 in very cold weather conditions. I feel it is an essential that students have a coat to keep them warm so they can be protected from cold air and possible sickness. You have to be in school to learn, if they are sick they can't attend school and learn.
The temperatures have dropped into negative degree territory on a few days this week, it is dangerously cold.
To protect my kids and keep them as warm as possible, I would love for them to have these thick warm coats. Let's make standing out waiting for the bus more bearable.
