Our BC baseball players are talented, hard-working players on the field and motivated students in the classroom. We are a large urban district where students from diverse backgrounds seamlessly work together in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in myriad extracurricular activities.
BC students pride themselves on their commitment to a close-knit school community, and our athletes are particularly proud of their role in fostering a positive school culture.
Bristol has a long history as a baseball town, and our players are proud to represent a city with such a long-standing tradition. Each student-athlete is invested in their community, and the bonds formed on the baseball field often last well into these students' adult lives.
My Project
Our school is in need of windscreens to help beautify the campus; the school can be described as a place where the school community takes pride in its home. The emphasis of getting involved is important to all of us. We have students participating in many activities including sports, clubs, and the arts. Our students also participate in community-based projects hoping to make a difference. We have been very resourceful due to budget restraints by using our creativity to get resources for the kids at BC. In a recent survey the students were asked about what makes BC great, and also what would make it better? The overwhelming response is to improve our facilities so people can visually see the pride we take in our campus.
It has been over 20 years since our baseball field has seen renovations and we are in need of windscreens to help beautify the overall facility.
Our building is moving towards a beautification project and we have started to upgrade our facilities at BC. Certain projects have not been able to receive funding as they are not considered a priority. I am asking help to make our school look professional by adding aesthetically significant upgrades. These upgrades will improve the overall appearance of our school. Our students deserve a great place to call home. This addition would bring a sense of professionalism to our programs. We will later put a logo to display who we are for all to view. The fence would help beautify both the baseball field and the overall campus. The simplest things can make a big difference. We want our kids to walk our campus with pride. The field is also used by youth leagues in town, so this project would benefit the entire community.
