My students need a green screen and supporting system, lights, and tripods to create video announcements to share with students, staff, and parents. Students need a moveable white board to brainstorm and assign stories.
My students are inquisitive, energetic, creative learners. They are excited to research and share important school-news stories and also highlight special, hard-working students. They look forward to sharing the news of their school and district with all of the students, the staff, and community of their school
My students will acquire real-world research, writing, and literacy experiences as they create, write, film, and edit news stories that are important to them.
They know this project will give them a voice!
My Project
These materials will support hands-on creativity and literacy for students at our school as they create video news announcements to share with staff, students, and parents. Students will use tripods in on-location interviews and the green screen and lighting to film the lead news stories. They will use the lighting supplies to help them produce professional-looking news stories that they will be proud to share.
Students will use the supplies to emulate real journalists.
They will use the materials to brainstorm, organize, and assign school news stories. Students will continue using the materials to write, broadcast, and edit news announcements that are shared daily.
