My students are junior high school students full of energy and enthusiasm for life. Some of the classes I teach are remediation classes, so those students are often unsure of how successful they'll be in school.
After working with them intensely for a few months, I love to see the looks on their faces when they experience successes, big and small, here in my classroom.
This is what fuels my teaching energy supply. At the end of the day, it is all about the students.
I currently have an HDMI projector that is still connected to my computer via a VGA cord. The result is that my projected screen is very blurry -- so blurry that students can't read it a lot of the time. This is a real problem in the classroom.
To fix this, I need a long HDMI cable and an adapter.
This will create a sharper image on the screen and allow everyone to actually read what's there.
I'm also requesting a few of the hottest new books of the year to keep my students interested in reading when they aren't taking notes!
