I'm a dedicated preschool teacher for 48 children at a Title I school. I teach two classes of preschool students. I have 24 kids who come to school in the morning and 24 kids who come to school in the afternoon. The children in my classes have ample opportunities to explore and learn In a hands on learning environment. My students always come to school excited and ready to discover new things. I’m always amazed at how much my students learn in such a short time. My students enjoy bringing their family members into the classroom to show them all the amazing things they do during the school day.
Your donation would greatly improve my students' first educational experience.
You would be helping to provide a lifelong love of learning!
I’ve been setting up an outdoor STEM learning environment for my students. My student have blocks, play house items, balls, ramps, books, trikes, chalk, musical instruments, streamers, cars, dinosaurs, gardening supplies etc. We have toys that teach Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (STEAM). My dream is to be able to provide the same amount of learning opportunities outside as well as inside. I have a lot of toys for the children to take outside, but no place to store them. I’m currently storing all the outdoor toys in my classroom. Every morning, I take bins of toys to the play area and at the end of the day I bring them all into my classroom. This is very problematic! I spend a good amount of time just moving toys before and after school. When the outdoor toy bins are in the classroom they take up a lot of valuable space. When the weather changes and it starts raining, I won’t be able to move the toys outside.
Without proper storage we won’t be able to keep all of the outdoor STEM toys!
There is no space for me to keep them inside. This is why I’m in desperate need of 4 large outdoor storage containers. These containers would be locked to keep our toys safe. Having a place to put the toys means we will be able to continue to provide outdoor learning opportunities for all of the 144 preschool students.
