Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students just turned three years old. I am piloting a three-year-old half-day program in an inner-city low-income school.
The children are excited and ready to learn.
Most of the students I serve are English Language Learners and will be in a bilingual program.
The mission of this program is to teach children English and sustain their Spanish speaking skills. Starting early will give them a head start on their educational journey. This will enable them to have many opportunities in their futures, but also facilitate educational success.
My Project
My three year old students need a music curriculum that will develop and maintain their musical skills. In order to provide a solid music curriculum, I need these music curriculum materials filled with activities that will provide many opportunities for the development of music skills.
I am a self-contained preschool teacher and need these materials to become a strong Music Teacher for my students.
Music education develops the music potential all young children possess.
They need an environment that provides music opportunities to discover and become aware of music. When making music choices, children are developing many critical thinking skills.
