My Project

Hello! I am a first year teacher and I work in an Autism Focus Classroom with my eight wonderful students. Unlike other students on campus, my students do not have electives and as a result we try to squeeze in things like music therapy and art whenever possible. That being said, I do not have very many materials for art at this time and have been relying on help from our on-campus art teacher.

Going into the new year I would love to spend more time bringing art into our daily lessons.

I have several students who are artistically inclined and I can see it in their doodles on their margins, and it is my hope to use these crayons, watercolors, and other art supplies to find more ways to incorporate things like painting, collage, and coloring across all areas of the curriculum. Thank you for any help you can provide in making this a reality for my students.
