Help me give my students an iPad Pro, keyboard, and pencil for continuity and structure, as well as the comfort of hearing and seeing me, their teacher, as I continue to deliver my geometry lessons during distance learning.
As of March 18, 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic caused school closures in the State of Wisconsin, completely disrupting the lives of my students and their parents. However, I feel with the right tools, my students can be successful "remote learning" students.
My students are resilient and want to be successful!
I'd like to do what I can to make that happen and help make this transition as seamless as possible.
My Project
My students have really amazed me and have worked hard to complete homework I've assigned using Google Classroom, YouTube, and Khan Academy. However, I feel my students would greatly benefit if I had the capability to record my very own geometry lessons.
This project will provide me with an iPad, keyboard, and Apple Pencil, allowing me the opportunity to record and deliver geometry lessons to my students during our distance learning experience.
Once we are able to return to school, my geometry students will continue to benefit, as I plan to continue recording geometry lessons to post on Google Classroom. My vision is that struggling students and those absent from school would utilize these videos most often, therefore reaching more students than just classroom instruction alone.
