Mrs. Wambergue from Detroit MI is requesting technology through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need these ipads to grasp basic skills that technology can help them with.

Remember when there was something that you needed to learn and just couldn't grasp it no matter how hard you tried? Then an alternate way was presented and you had that triumphed moment!
My students come from surrounding neighborhoods to our inner-city school.
They are in kindergarten and have showed so much potential and passion about learning these past 4 months! They come from various backgrounds and teach me something new each and every day. They strive to learn as much as they can on a daily basis and know that I believe in them and set the bar high for them. They bring joy with them each and every morning and are ready for the days adventure with me.
These iPads will allow students that are struggling added support in a technological way. We do not have student computers in our classroom and the games that I can have them play on the iPad will allow repetition in alphabet and number skills along with so many other skills that we are about to venture into. We all learn in different ways and styles and this will allow me to add one more style to our classroom environment. They can be used in small groups during centers or on an individual level for someone that is struggling on a skill.
This is my first year teaching at an inner-city school and I have the joy of knowing that I am learning along with them as well as knowing that I have the ability to try as many different styles of learning as I can with them.
These technology pieces will allow me to reach out to them in yet another way to help them be the best they can be and to see a brighter future, not to mention love coming to school!
