Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our students have a passion and curiosity to constantly gain knowledge. They are excited about learning and are highly motivated to learn despite their homelife circumstances. Our school is a Title I campus with over 90% of our students coming from economically disadvantaged homes.
Many of our students were affected by the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.
Our classrooms provide a consistent supporting environment for our students. It is our ultimate goal to create learning experiences that are not only beneficial but engaging as well.
My Project
By using small group and workstations in the classrooms, our teachers will be able to meet the needs of all students. Students are able to practice the skills and concepts they need to become successful in and out of the classroom through small group workstations.
We will be using these Dell Chromebooks to provide interactive, technology-driven workstations in the classroom.
These Chromebooks will help differentiate learning for all students through an engaging resource. Students will access interactive websites that teach and allow students to explore science. Our students will also use the technology to engage in projects using Google Classroom.
Using technology in the science classroom will also provide an avenue for students to access the content but may not be as passionate about science as others.
