My Students

My 4th graders are military children that come from a range of backgrounds. They work hard to balance having their parents gone at length and making friends every time they move. Because of their background, they are very resilient. They come to school ready to learn and do their best.

Laughter is something that comes easily for these students.

With everything that they go through, they are able to put a smile on their face and make the best out of any situation.

My Project

When working on the computer, it can be difficult to type on the computer and take notes. It can be frustrating to not have the space needed to work through a math problem on paper and then shift the keyboard and mouse around in order to work on the computer.

Having under desk trays will give the students room to do multiple things at once without the frustration of a cluttered desk.

The stools will also provide needed comfort for the students to work in small groups. The short stools will maximize the space in the classroom so that students can still work in small groups while the projector is still in use.
