I teach in a full day, Head Start program that is composed of children 3-5 years old, with the majority of them heading to Kindergarten in the fall. These kids are so imaginative, and love to have fun and learn.
The majority of the families that we serve are low income and while we do everything we can to teach our kids here at school, we want to empower our parents to be able to do the same at home.
Our program prides itself on our home-school connection and recognizes that our children's parents are the first and most important teachers.
My Project
By funding these STEM materials for my students, you will be allowing them the opportunity to learn at home 7 days a week! Each child will have the possibility to bring these items home on a rotating schedule to work on them with their parents.
These items will help make learning fun and effortless while supporting higher level thinking skills.
Through puzzles, gears, mazes, and other engaging activities, children won't even realize how much they are learning while they play. Please help provide these learning tools for our children who could not otherwise afford to make them available at home. Give our parents the opportunity to be the best teachers that they can be with high quality materials!
