My students need a Nook to have access to books to read, that are not accessible in the classroom library, that relate to the themes they are learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Have you ever been in a situation where you are limited in your resources to accomplish a task? My students crave new information and could use unlimited access to books and resources.
These future politicians, teachers and doctors live in an area where the majority are considered low-income families.
These children lack the resources at home to expand their impressionable minds. Due to school budget cuts, our school does not a librarian to allow our students access to books and further resources. Our computer lab consists of old apple computers that cannot be undated to have world wide web accessibility.
My Project
Our school has adopted a new reading program in which all teachers are slowly building their themed libraries to correlate with their daily instruction. With the Nook, students will be using it in small groups and individually to do research projects relevant to what they are learning in class. One immediate project include the finding information on an invention they would like to build to make their lives easier.
The use of the Nook will allow multiple classes access unlimited resources.
These resources include free books, Internet, and educational games. This technology will assist not only the graduating class of 2028, but for many years to come.
