My students need 30 copies of 4 storybooks including "Curious George Goes to a Chocolate Factory", "Curious George Goes to a Costume Party", "Froggy Gets Dressed", and "The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs" to use for our reading lessons to create enriching lessons outside of our textbooks.
Do you remember what it was like to read a storybook and get excited by the many different characters? This year we are trying to teach our lessons through the use of storybooks instead of textbooks to bring exciting and creative activities into the daily classroom routines.
Our students are mostly at risk students.
We are trying to provide them with the opportunity to take a storybook home every week. They have little resources at home to provide them with this opportunity, and we want to bring reading to life along with making it exciting for them to pick up a book and read.
My Project
If we should receive these resources, this will provide at least four weeks of reading material to make our lessons unique, incorporate different genres, mathematics, language arts, social studies, and science. We are looking for the materials to provide our students with an opportunity to read a special storybook in the classroom and at home each week. We would like to promote reading at home through the use of these storybooks to get everyone involved in their child's education.
If we receive these books, students will get the opportunity to read a variety of enriching storybooks.
Students will be able to receive their phonics lessons, phonemic awareness lessons, comprehension, and fluency lessons through the use of these books! This is an exciting opportunity for every student this year and in the future!!!!!!
