This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are the most inspirational people I know. They are a diverse group of learners with many challenges. Many come from little, but have the potential for greatness.

Can you imagine waking up and have to get all your siblings to school or not sleeping because you either share a bed or heard commotion outside your door all night?

Imagine living from place to place. Imagine living just miles from the lake, but never getting a chance to explore or see it. These are some of my kids' stories. As Dr. Seuss best said it though, "we're off to great places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so get on your way!"

My Project

These indoor/outdoor seats will help us as we bring our learning outdoors. My goal is to show our fifth graders where our learning and the real world intertwine. Imagine writing next to our wetlands, studying measurement by taking water samples, incorporating outdoor-based learning projects all year long. These seats can help us bring our learning on the go.

Outdoors, indoors, let's reach our learners where they are!

They can help with bringing our learning outdoors, but also be used inside for learners who do their best work sitting on the floor too.
