Bringing My Classroom To Life With Exciting STEM Challenges
My students need a subscription to STEM LAb Deluxe to provide them with everything needed to do up to 10 experiments & design challenges a month, preparing these young scientists for future STEM careers.
Observing my 6th grade students has taught me that before any learning can take place, they are seeking acceptance, validation, respect, and understanding. Once those needs are met in the classroom, learning comes naturally. A smile, a hug, showing a genuine interest in their lives goes a long way! My kids have huge hearts and such a strong desire to please us, but many require an extra bit of patience and caring to reach their full potential. I love when my past students come visit or run up to me in the hallway and give me a hug or say they miss me. It’s a nice reminder that I made a difference in their lives!
A subscription to the STEM Lab Deluxe is the first step in giving my students the opportunity to engage in science on a whole new level. Each month we will receive a box filled with the science tools and resources needed to conduct more than a dozen experiments and take-it-further challenges that combine the perfect mix of critical thinking, tinkering and fun. It also comes with a student and adult guide to the experiments. My students LOVE hands on learning and learning through inquiry which is exactly what this subscription will provide. As a teacher who has to provide her own materials to make science exciting and fun, this monthly kit will be a lifesaver and something my students and I will have to look forward to!
