Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My class is a bright group of 18 students. There are 10 boys and 8 girls making up my second grade classroom. Nearly half of our school students come from an economically disadvantaged or low income background. I would love to have some extra support and resources to provide the students with greater opportunities for enrichment and learning. I wish I could provide more, but tablets, laptops and other technology are costly. Anything you can provide would be so helpful to my students in ensuring we have as much as possible to teach and work with.
My Project
In a time where we are so technologically advanced, I would love to bring tablets and a laptop computer to the classroom to enhance my student's learning experience. There are so many wonderful programs the students could be exposed to that can aid them in their learning in all aspects from reading to math, and science and social studies.
These students are growing up in a time where an immense amount of information is at their fingertips and I would love to enrich their learning in second grade even more with your help.
We use workstations in both reading and math and to have a station where these tablets and laptop can be used in rotation would be extremely beneficial to the students learning.
