My Students

I work with some amazing teenagers. My students are creative, out-of-the-box thinkers who are being given a chance to shine in a smaller school setting. They thrive on individualized learning experiences and my goal is to find new ways to engage my students in learning.

My Project

The iPad will allow me to use different software and modeling tools to help my students increase their understanding of mathematical concepts. I will also be able to create more engaging lesson experiences since the iPad can be moved around to allow students to show their work and illustrate their ideas to their peers.

My goal is to increase access to high-level math activities and allow students the opportunity to develop their skills as mathematicians.

Many of my students come into my class believing that they are not good at math. I want to show them that they are capable of being great mathematicians.
