Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach homebound students that, for medical reasons, can not attend traditional school. When I meet one of my students, I never know what to expect. But every time, without fail, I leave the teaching experience smiling because I just worked with a child with a curious mind and an optimistic spirit.
Every child, no matter their physical or mental condition, should receive the very best education we can provide for them.
It is for this reason that I believe as the teacher that I want to give them opportunities to expand their learning.
My Project
With this Chromebook, I will be able to help my students become more engaged in their learning. Imagine being able to virtually travel to the Middle Ages when studying World History, or delving into the science behind motion by virtually engaging in online experiments. These are the experiences that can make learning real and meaningful.
Technology can support textbook learning and can give my students the tools to interact with their world.
The ability to transform learning with the resources available to learners on the internet is critical. All learners of all grade levels can benefit and participate with this project.
