My students need materials such as alphabet stamps and sight word puzzles to help with phonics, beginning reading, and other literacy skills.
My students need science and math materials such as the Science Instant Learning set and number and counting beads to make ideas more concrete.

Hooray! This project is fully funded
Working in a profession that allows me to give tools to children that will help them be successful their entire lives is beyond a blessing. Bringing learning to life is about giving my class the tools they need to be successful learners now and for years to come.
Kindergartners are naturally curious.
They explore and question all things and to help them be successful in their explorations, they need concrete materials they can use independently to practice skills taught. The learners this year in my class are a diverse bunch, some English Language Learners, that will truly benefit from added tools to make these concepts concrete and to make connections to themselves.
All of the materials requested are either to reinforce a skill taught through independent exploration or for a small group lesson, to help make the material more concrete with the use of hands-on manipulatives. I have also requested science and social studies materials to be used in centers that can tie all of our content together.
I have requested specific games that will aide in letter identification, phonemic awareness, beginning reading and writing skills, math concepts, and science exploration.
The science ready made centers I have chosen for my class give children exactly what they need to explore a topic, such as the five senses in great detail.
I also included some building materials. I think it is important for students to have things that challenge them to create and design things using their own imagination. We have no materials like that presently and I know they will love the magnetic connectors I have selected to bring to life all of those creations in their minds.
This project will make the world of difference in the enrichment of content in my classroom.
It will help these students by providing those concrete materials necessary for independent manipulation to build those lasting connections that make learning more applicable. I want to create a classroom where all content is questioned, explored and applied through hands-on real life application. These materials can make that possible and bring learning to life. Thank you for your help!
