Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I am very fortunate to be teaching at a school where the parents are involved and the students are excited to learn. I teach at a Title 1 school where most of the student's first language is Spanish, as well as a number of students who speak Vietnamese. Several of the student's are low socio-economic status.

I have a few students who are in the special education program.

They are such hard workers and have a great desire to improve. I run small groups throughout the day and after school tutoring to meet their various needs.

Also, reptiles are a great way to show adaptations from their special coverings for hot weather to their camouflage.

About two years ago I did the same thing with another third grade class thanks to Donors Choose and the donors which was a simply amazing experience! The students could not stop talking about it. We also turned it into a really great project! In addition, they could give lots of examples of adaptation after the

Please help me make learning more fun and engaging by having the Reptile Zoo come to our classroom.
