My first graders are fun and creative students full of personality who love coming to school. They love any opportunity to use their imaginations and play with their friends.
I work in an urban school district where 100% of students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Even with that being said, my students come to school everyday ready to give their all and try their best.
My Project
When you walk by a classroom that is having indoor recess you hear the sounds of children laughing and playing with each other. And if you go into those classrooms you will see children with big smiles on their faces. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 safety guidelines indoor recess in particular will look a lot different this year. Students will be forced to sit alone at their seats and watch movies with out your help.
Please help me keep this favorite time of students fun for them.
With your donations I will be able to provide individual recess bags to all the children in the first grade. These toys will allow students to be creative and use their imaginations once again during this time and bring those smiles back to our first graders faces!
