Our school is a large urban public school. It is a very ethnically diverse school. Students speak a multitude of languages including English, Spanish, Hindi, Bengali, and Arabic. We are a happy, eager school. Our teachers love to teach and our students love to learn.
As diverse as our students are economically and culturally, they are also diverse in their academics and the resource tools needed to better their education.
Our school district lacks the funding to give all students the tools needed for them to succeed. My students don't let that bother them though. They come to school eager to learn and to become a better citizen.
I teach fourth grade Social Studies and Science. I have 3 classes of 25-30 students. Each class, is eager to learn, but our lack of resources hinder their opportunities. Unfortunately, these students don't receive the tools needed to fully succeed, like their peers from other districts. My students DESERVE the same as everyone else. Please help us achieve this!!
There is a lot of information to learn in Social Studies. Reading articles, textbooks, and watching videos can help us learn and retain this information. BUT for kids, playing a game is way more exciting and A LOT more fun.
Please help us bring fun and games to our classroom!
The puzzles and board games are exactly geared to what we are learning in class. These games can substitute for some boring worksheets.
The privacy dividers will help our class dramatically! As a Science & Social Studies classroom we have tables, not desks. These products will gives us the well needed privacy during tests and writing/reflection pieces. The storage case will help us keep our classroom running smooth and efficiently.
