Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

The students at my school are the least entitled and the most caring individuals I have ever encountered. They do not realize that the equipment that they use is aging and that many other local schools have access to more current and relevant equipment than they do.

I teach at a Title I school where the majority of our student population is on free or reduced-price lunch.

Many of my students have the ability to excel in science, technology, math, and engineering in their futures. I would love to spark their interest in related careers.

My Project

Students will transfer information about crime scenes from sketches and diagrams into 3D models of crime scenes to present in simulated court presentations. Students will an authentic experience and engage in a creative environment that combines STEM technologies, art and design in a culture of inquiry, problem solving, and active engagement.

I recently read an article from CBS News that there are three million open jobs in the U.S., but very few qualified individuals to fill them.

I want to give my students the foundation and the drive to pursue STEM majors in college in order to fill these positions.
