Bringing Color to our STEM world
My students need black and color ink for our new classroom printer.
Some students do not have access to computers at home, let alone printers. Even fewer are given the freedom and opportunity to create and print documents, in vivid color.
My students come from homeroom classes all over the school.
They enter my classroom to explore, experiment, construct and observe, all the while learning science. I try to engage their learning through several continually changing mediums in order to peak their interest on a daily basis.
My students are members of a small humble community. The school that they attend is, as well, small and humble. These students work collaboratively to learn to the fullest on a daily basis. They help each other and I believe that they have learned to do this from their parents, teachers and administrators. I have never met a group of people as nice as the folks at my current school. They are deserving of any and every educational advantage available.
All throughout the year, my students will be working on research projects. They will create PowerPoint presentations and poster displays. I want to them to be able to print out beautiful display pieces to create a presentation for class and school presentations.
Students will be given access to the classroom printer (also provided by DonorsChoose donors).
Color and black ink will be an excellent addition to the supplies available to my students. I believe it will give them a sense of pride to be able to print and display their work.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
