This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are energized, creative and hardworking third-grade children. They are writers, illustrators, singers, comedians and so much more.
We are a Title I school and this year, one hundred percent of students will receive free breakfast and lunch.
We are located in a suburb of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Our children come from low socioeconomic households and assistance is often needed to help them find success. Teachers in our school are continually helping families in any way possible. We care for our students as our own.
My Project
One of the favorite past times of my students is coloring. Whether completing an illustration, creating a book, or working on a performance task, students love using bold and bright colors to make their work pop. My class is a very talented group of thinkers and illustrators. Students are consistently bringing me their masterpieces and are often so proud of what they have created. The donation of colored pencils and markers will assist the students in making their creations come to life. Now that we are a few months into the school year, our supplies have depleted. In receiving this donation, students would be ecstatic and ready to get to work!
