My students need a CD player and books on tape/CD to increase their vocabulary, comprehension and language development skills since most of them speak both English and Spanish.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are wonderful. Their most difficult challenge would be not having all the materials they deserve to have within the classroom. My goal is to provide my students with the best education possible. I want them to reach all of the goals they have set for themselves.
Even though we are extremely limited in the classroom, they are very happy, excited and enthusiastic with their work.
My students live in a low income community. Most of my students speak a language other than English at home so it is very important to provide them with plenty of opportunities to speak, listen, and write the English language while in school. My students love to read and if they are not reading yet, they love to listen to books. Literacy is a huge portion of our class and my students thrive for more. I would like to give them what they deserve. I would like them to be exposed to as many different types of text and literature as possible. I know they would greatly appreciate it!
My Project
These resources will provide my students with a better understanding of the English language. My students will be introduced to new vocabulary, they will begin to comprehend different parts of a story and be thrilled to learn in a new and exciting way. Having these resources in my classroom will help my students get a better understanding of concepts of print, give them a new literacy center to learn in where they can expand their imagination and grow in their reading and writing skills.
My students would be so grateful to receive such a wonderful and exciting literacy tool.
Literacy and language is so important in the first years of school and I would like to start my students off on the right foot!
