My Students

My 3rd grade students are always ready for an adventure and always ready to learn. They come from many different backgrounds, each with their own unique challenges. On a daily basis, my students enthusiastically meet those challenges. They inspire me with their strengths and willingness to learn. They are always looking to share their newly acquired knowledge with others around them.

Many of these students are looking to the future and careers in technology.

They've discovered that learning and working with technology can be fun as well as informative. These student stars really know how to shine!

My Project

My students have recently discovered the "Who Is/Who Was" series of biographies. They find them to be engaging, informative, fun, and inspirational. They love finding out interesting facts and details about the lives of historical figures and pop-culture icons!

It is that inspiration I wish to capitalize on by providing my students with a variety of these books to read and then transferring their enthusiasm for the titles into emulating their style and creating their own "Who Is?" biography for a classmate.

They will compile a list of common interview questions, interview a partner, and then write a biography for that person.
