Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are living in Reston, Virginia. They are part of an Early Head Start classroom located in a local Title One public school. The program gives these students a nurturing environment, rich with language, art experiences, music experiences and love. These students range from ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. They experience a family like environment in our loving classroom.
The creative, curious children love to dance, paint, move and experience life in our classroom.
We love to give them a variety of experiencs
My Project
Music for children will excite all the areas of child development and skills for school readiness in my children: intellectual, social and emotional, motor, language, and overall literacy. The wrist bells and drums will help the body and the mind work together.
Toddlers and infants are drawn to patterns.
What are the best ways to create patterns using sounds? Bells and drums. The children will create sounds using their hands and arms by beating the drums. The wrist bells will create sounds as well as promote cross lateral movement to help develop their brains to prepare motor skills for school.
