This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
Our students are an amazing group of young minds, each looking to us to give them the tools needed to achieve their dreams. We are a Title I school, where at least 95% receive free and reduced lunch. our students have a budding enthusiasm to explore the world around them. They love to explore through hands on learning, escape to exciting adventures in a book, and share their thoughts through writing.
Despite life's challenges they strive each day to work hard and exceed our expectations.
They walk in each day eager to learn and so that they can be successful.
My Project
Scholastic News will allow our students to have experiences 'outside' of the classroom that they may not experience otherwise. The world has so much to offer that not all students may get to take advantage of.
Scholastic News will expose them to topics and information that will open door in their young minds.
It will spur their curiosity to dive deeper through research and collaboration. Through Scholastic News, our students will have the resources to keep up to date on current issues impacting the world around them. This resource will not only grow them as scientist and historians, but it will also grow them as citizens of the world.
