Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
8th Grade was not given an end of the year field trip, at our school. Due to plans changing, turnover of staff and miscommunication, there were not enough busses to provide the 8th graders with a graduation trip. This has devastated our students because most other grades received a trip. We want to bring the water park to our AZ campus, by recreating it with slip-n-slides and inflatables. We also hope to have a fun glow in the dark party, which is the theme of our 8th grade dance.
We were an 8th grade cohort of 4, but are now down to 3 teachers, trying the best that we can to give something graduation-worthy to our scholars.
Many of us have fundraised for months, but we still fell short in getting our students to where we hoped they could be, at this time of the year (on a memorable trip). Anything helps to make 2023, their graduating year, memorable. Thank you.
