"Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn." - unknown.
I teach my students to believe in succeeding, to believe in themselves.
In my classroom, I strive to inspire daily. The power of education is limitless. My students are the future.
My school is located near a large military base, and although many students come to me from diverse backgrounds, they always have one thing in common, an eagerness to learn.
Approximately 547 children attend my school and identify mostly as Multiracial, Black, non-Hispanic, and Asian. 100% of the students here receive free breakfast and lunch. We are also a Title I school with at least 40% of a school's students coming from low-income families.
Our school is a well maintained school with a loving, caring administrator, as well as teachers and support staff who do everything within their power to see that the needs of the students are met.
My students love to explore, create, doodle, and draw. My students amaze me daily as they create incredible inventions and amazing art. Currently, they are only limited by our basic classroom are supplies that limit them to 2D creations. My classroom also incorporate several STEAM projects each month. These projects are incredibly beneficial for students. They encourage out of the box thinking, problem solving, and teamwork. Unfortunately, STEAM projects also require supplies that we sometime do not have. My school currently does not have access to 3Doodler supplies.
These 3Doodler pens would bring to life our STEAM inventions, new discoveries, and our imaginations!
My students frequently want to go further than paper and pencil. They crave hands on opportunities to learn and grow. The only thing holding them back is funding and supplies. This project would allow my students the opportunity to create things they've only imagined!
