This year is my 21st year in education. It is a blessing to spend my days at this beautiful community school in the spectacular mountains of Western North Carolina. My drive to work is full of beautiful landscapes. My school is kindergarten through fifth grade, with fewer than 150 students.
We may be small, but our dreams are big.
The community is deeply invested in the education and nurturing of each student. Economic status does not provide a barrier to learning; instead, it provides a challenge this school accepts on a daily basis. With your help, we can give these deserving students everything they need!
My Project
Let's bring the bots to school! I can't wait to see the students turn a metal can into a walking, wobbling, bog-eyed robot that can move. It can be transformed to become a robotic monster, too. The 4M Doodling Robot uses vibration and spin generated by its motor to create works of art. Students can adjust the angle and height of the robot's colored pens and watch it work. Students can also assemble a robotic brush and let it clean up spills with the 4M Brush Robot. The 4M Brush Robot is a fun toy that teaches young minds about the science of robotics in a hands-on way. All of these robots that we are requesting are ideal for young science enthusiasts, especially those with an interest in robotics.
