My students need sturdy book baskets for our classroom library. We have added several new books, series, and collections over the past year, and do not have enough baskets and our baskets are breaking.

My Students

My students are a wonderful, diverse group of students! They come from all different kinds of backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and socioeconomic standards. Our school is a rural, Title One school.

My classroom is composed of many different types of children, but together we are a family of learners.

My students have various strengths and weaknesses but we look past our differences to become a community. Together, we love to learn, read, and have fun! This group is sweet, fun, adventurous, and desire to learn. They work well together, respect each other, and deserve the best resources, materials, and teaching.

My Project

Our class is in need of some new, sturdy book baskets for our classroom library. We have added so many new books over the past year, and the $1 baskets that I bought are running low, breaking, and become cumbersome for students to pull off the shelf.

We are also redoing our classroom library this year to genres, so having colorful, new book baskets to organize them will help students be able to find book easier and safer (without the worry of the baskets breaking).

This will add so much life to our library and students will want to check out books even more often.
