My students need a living lab where they can explore science in action! Children will grow their own plants and animals and track their development through observation.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students love science and I want the science concepts to come to life while they get a chance to explore real specimens & full-color photos of amazing plants and animals! My students will benefit from watching life science in action with greenhouses at their fingertips.
The dual-language immersion model is a rigorous academic program where students receive 50% English and 50% Spanish instruction and are expected to become bi-literate, to read, write and speak with the same high level of proficiency in both Spanish and English.
This model is based on an equal respect for different languages as well as for the cultures of which those languages are a part.
My Project
These product will give my students the hands on experiences that they need to make observations and predictions. I plan to use them so each child could have their own plant and yet I wouldn't need any counter space. I ordered the crystal packs and my goal is to have the students to create their own greenhouse to watch the growth cycle. The greenhouse and the butterfly and ladybug nursery are very nice and kid friendly which will allow for students to make observations while being able to interact with the specimens.
My inner city students will become scientist by bringing nature into their classroom.
My goal is to dedicate one corner of my classroom as an environmental corner to have students explore.
