Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are inner city, urban students from low social- economic households. Many come from single parent households where the parent work all the time and are not home when the students are home.
The majority are from immigrant families where books, technology and education in general are foreign concepts.
Their limited vocabulary and very little exposure to learning motivate me to strategically teach them using every avenue possible.
My students are digital learners, where seeing is believing. A printer will bridge the gaps to my learning.
My Project
A classroom color printer will enhance my students’ learning by enabling them to print their findings their classroom research projects, create real world project pieces such as reports, designs, charts, graphic organizers and their own writing.
The Canon printer that I am requesting will help my students’ take their learning to the next level.
They can actually print their own research and publish and edit their own writing with the classroom printer. Students will be able to capture their learning in a tangible way. The classroom printer will prepare them for the expectations of the real world while allowing them to collaborately learn in an interactive way.
