Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Have you ever had an idea you wanted to see realized? Curiosity, imagination, and innovation are a beautiful thing to see on the face of a child. Their eyes light up and they emit sounds of wonder. The students at my school are just like that. They are eager to learn and inspiring to teach. Some might label my students as high-poverty, under-served or minority, but I categorize them as unlimited potential. Please help me ignite inspiration in my students.

My Project

We are requesting a 3D printer and filament that will allow my students to learn engineering and geometry in a hands on way. Have you ever tried to visualize a math problem? With 3D design using CAD software and coding, students are able to apply mathematics they are learning to create real objects. From basic shapes to advanced geometry, 3D printing can be utilized. Thank you for helping us bring math to life for our students.

3D Printing in education helps students develop a problem solving mindset.

As an ever increasing and growing industry, 3D printing turns subjects into careers. It also encourages creative thinking as students move through the design thinking process. Most importantly, 3D printing promotes active learning. Studies have shown that hands-on learning is the best way to retain information.
