This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

SMART Board technology has completely changed the course of learning in my urban classroom. On a daily basis we learn in ways that was impossible when I was in school. This has allowed for great gains in my Special Needs classroom. The interactive ability of the SMART Board allows for my students to explore the possibilities of Web 2.0 and unlock new skills across the curriculum.

My students bound by the physical limitations of Cerebral Palsy are limited in their ability to interact with the interactive touch screen of the SMART board.

These limitations would be eliminated if I was able to purchase an interactive tablet that allows for interaction from anywhere in the classroom. This would allow for all students to consistently participate in interactive activities. Additionally, this will allow me to teach from anywhere in the classroom and increase my ability to increase interaction with all of my students during instruction.

Allow all of my students to benefit from GREAT technology with the help of an interactive wireless tablet and unlock all the possibilities of Web 2.0.
