Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are middle school students from countries throughout Latin America. They are learning to read, write, and speak english. Their goal is to be literate in more than one language.

My students enjoy playing video games, watching make-up tutorials, and recording Tik Toks.

But, they also enjoy exploring places inside and outside the United States via the internet and playing HeadBanz to expand their vocabulary.

My Project

For the remainder of the year, Georgia schools will continue with digital learning. During this time, I have kept in touch with my students via Zoom, postcards and phone calls home. To keep them engaged, I would like to mail a gift box to each one of my english learners with resources they can do at home without the use of the internet. Their levels vary, so I included Spanish magazines for those that were new to this country. The will use these magazine for the last quarter of classes to respond to our discussions online.
