This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Students start their day in human science before the bell even rings. They walk into class and start with a review question. Students eagerly work bell to bell to learn all they can about the human body.

Labeling diagrams, coloring, testing, creating brochures, and videos are just a few of the things my students do to learn about the human body system.

Students who come to class everyday are very interested and eager to learn about the human body.

My Project

Students will use the fetal pigs for an end of the year dissection. The students will have previously learned about all the human body systems. The dissection will happen in groups of 4 and each student will have a fetal pig. The pig will be used for over a week. Each day will be a different dissection part. The dissection will end with an exam over the pig parts.

Students can only learn so much from books and paper.

The fetal pigs you will be providing for dissection will enable them to see and feel all of the organs they have been working so hard to learn about. The dissection will provide them with a lasting memory of all they have learned in human science class.
