My students need these art materials to help them learn to create. The construction paper and all the paint will allow the children to explore their creativity through painting.
I am a teacher in a Title I school. My classroom is made up of EC children and typical developing students. I have students who have special needs and behavior challenges. My classroom also has students who are learning English as a second language.
My students try so hard to learn new things!
They work hard every day to learn the new things that are needed for school. They love taking books home to read to their parents by doing a picture walk. They love showing their families what they can do even before they learn to read words in a book.
My Project
The art materials that I have asked for will bring art to life for my students. The construction paper will allow the students to learn to cut and develop fine motor and gross motor skills while the students have fun making art projects to take home to show their families.
The paint that I have asked for will allow the students to learn their colors while they explore the adventure of painting.
It will allow the students to express themselves with their feelings and likes through painting.
The molding sand will allow the students to make 3D art to display around the classroom. It will help them learn how to make animals that stand up and not just lay flat on a piece of paper.
The students will love to make new pictures everyday to hang up in the classroom and to take home. They will love to explore with all the new colors and art materials that they will receive if this project is funded.
This project will also be used in a school that serves children from military families.
