I teach in a full-day preschool classroom with 24 children. These children live in a low-income area where many of them come to school without proper shoes, jackets, and food. Many of them have overcome the struggles of poverty, broken homes, and being homeless.
However, I believe my students are entitled to have the best education that's desirable for them.
I enjoy working in this area because it is so rewarding. It is remarkable watching my students overcome new obstacles every day. My classroom is like a second home for my students; most of them spend more than eight hours a day with me. They use my classroom as a place for warmth, love, and to escape their troubles. However, some of my students and parents are choosing to stay with distance learning.
As a teacher, it is very important for me to keep my children inspired, engaged, and passionate about learning because these young children are the future. Your generous donation will remarkably enhance their first learning experience. Thank you for helping me make a difference in their lives.
My Project
I believe teaching young children education in financial literacy at a young age is a must! In Preschool, I am trying to teach my students the basics of financial literacy. We are learning to route count 1-100, write numbers, and recognize numbers. We are also learning to compare numbers.
All of these skills and concepts are the foundation of financial literacy.
My students earn Wild Cat bucks daily for class assignments (math), homework completion, and for being awesome helpers. I would like to add these amazing gift cards to our student store. The wildcat bucks are like money that my students can use to purchase prizes at the student store. With the Amazon gift cards, my students will be able to go into amazon and purchase what they really like such as math games, and board games for themselves. Learning to count and budget is very important for young children. It is a skill that students will need to learn later on in life to manage and budget their own expenses.
