My students are lively, voracious learners. Students coming to my room get support with classwork, complete independent projects, and receive personalized instruction. They enjoy lively discussions and puzzles. Gifted students come to this class with inquiring minds and high aspirations; they are constantly reading and seeking knowledge.
Our nook is a safe haven where everyone can grow intellectually, personally, and emotionally.
My students typically work in small groups, and they are quick to support each other. They give me book suggestions and requests constantly. I'm hoping to fill my space with a great space they will love.
My Project
My students enjoy reading a variety of books. As soon as I get new books, they devour them and ask for more. It's very challenging to keep up with them, so this project will increase my ability to keep students engaged with a large book supply.
One of the great attributes of my students is their excitement for reading.
This project brings additional books into their hands so that they may continue exploring this passion. My students will vie to be the first to read each book. What a great way for learning to take place when books are flying off the shelves and into students' hands. It also enables them to listen to recorded books without disturbing others.
