Brightening Up Our Vision in a Safe Way!

My students need new safety goggles because the ones that we currently use are 26 years old. We knot the elastic straps because of how much elasticity they have lost over time.

My Students

The students I teach this year are scheduled for regular Comprehensive Science class which means we'll be exploring the Life, Earth and Physical Sciences with a heavy emphasis on the Nature of Science. Two of my classes are ESE Inclusion classes. Twenty-two percent of my students are English Language Learners. One of my students just enrolled in my class because her family moved to our town from Puerto Rico due to the ravaging Hurricane Irma.

Inquisitive...generous...eager to explore our natural world...are just a few words to describe my Panthers.

Our school's Student Leadership Team is hosting a canned food drive, and my first period brought in the most so far in the sixth grade! I am so proud of them and their caring attitudes toward others!

My Project

These bright colored goggles will get my students even more excited about exploring our world because the goggles we currently use are a mismatched set from 26 years ago. Most importantly, students will be safe while wearing these new bright and colorful goggles.

Excitement to learn about the world in which we live in is also important to me as a teacher, and these goggles are FUN, EXCITING and take each wearer to a realm of learning my current goggles cannot begin to achieve.

I strive to spark their interests and motivate them to learn science which is what these goggles will assist in doing!
