My students are absolutely amazing. We are a Title I school in Florida, where state funding is being cut yearly and the district is millions of dollars in debt. For a variety of reasons, our students' exposure to many opportunities has been limited.
To say my students are the best is simply the understatement of the year.
They are the sweetest and some of the most hard-working students I have ever had the pleasure of being with. However, they are very young, extremely active, and always bouncing around and on the go.
MAJ is a small-town school in a socioeconomically disadvantaged area. Our school provides the organization, stability, and basic needs of many students. Despite many of these students' hardships, our students love coming to school to learn about themselves and the world around them.
My Project
This school year sure has been one for the record books. Online learning can easily be boring and monotonous. My students spend many hours a day watching me teach online. They are trying to follow along but many of them do not have the resources to print their assignment packets at home.
Having a color printer for my classroom will allow me to print packets and mail them to my students before we begin the lessons.
I will be able to print colorful sheets that will keep the students more engaged in what I am teaching.
