This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students range in ages from 3-5 years old. Most of my kids come from lower socioeconomic circumstances. They are enthusiastic, as only pre-k students can be! One of their favorite activities is anything that involves being hands-on.
My kids love to express themselves through art.
I would like to provide them with the materials needed to be as creative as possible. These materials will bring much needed choices for my students. Thank you for helping my children to learn to love art.
My Project
My program is language based and geared towards improving communication skills. One of the best ways to help my kids open up is to provide them with the necessary materials to express themselves. Such supplies as feathers, paint brushes, play dough, and craft sticks will give them choices that will allow the students to create a project and explain their creations.
There is no better feeling than to watch my kids’ excitement as they make their choices and place the materials in a design of their choosing.
