Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My classroom has many different learning styles/needs and it is predominately composed of ELL students. My students are from low economic backgrounds and are eager to learn.
My students are constantly curious and have questions about their new culture and the world around them.
I would like to continue to foster their thirst for knowledge. My students are thinkers, questioners, dreamers, and most importantly, leaders. They will then take this knowledge to their home and apply it to their daily lives.
My Project
My kindergarten students are inspired by visuals and colors. We need a class set of colorful tools. It will increase focus and tranquility in our learning environment. Please help me provide my low income students with colorful and inspiring tools and magnets.
These colorful tools and magnets will help my students have an inviting space to dive into literacy, math, feel successful, and develop a love for learning in a setting that meets their needs.
With these new colorful stools, my kindergarten students will feel empowered and independent while engaged in a fun, exciting, and innovative classroom setting.
