Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My school is in a high poverty neighborhood and most students come from families with a low socioeconomic status. Each of my twenty students are unique in their own special way. They range from ESOL Levels 1-4 and are a set of well-behaved and responsible students.

Help us have the best school year ever!

In order to have the best school year ever we need to start school with supplies, like crayons, glue, pencils, etc.

These are simple things that will facilitate and enhance our learning from the very beginning and throughout the school year.

My Project

Throughout the school year, students will use folders for each subject to keep their weekly assignments in order. They will have pencils, erasers, crayons, scissors and glue for the school year. They will use the headphone to complete online assignments. This will help them become independent learners.

The notebooks will be used to keep their weekly writing.

Expo markers, dry eraser pocket sleeves, caddy, sheet protectors and laminating sheets will be used during differentiated instruction for reading comprehension and for building math and reading skills.

The left hand scissors will help my left-handed students cut paper without a struggle. The hand sanitizer dispenser and refills will be used before lunch to keep students healthy. The first aid kit will be used for small playground accidents. The crayon sharpener will be used to bring dull crayons back to life. Rechargeable batteries are for our Leapsters and Hot Dot pens. The iPad Charging Station will be used to charge all iPads at once and to keep them organized.

All of these materials and supplies will last the school year and will provide students with a vast variety of learning skills. Thus, I will be encouraging positive behavior through self-assurance.
